About this site
The Bushbury Hill website was created in a collaboration between Wolverhampton City Learning Centre and the teachers and children of Bushbury Hill Primary School. This page contains information about the site and its design and features.
Designed with Web Standards
The site conforms to the current web standards of XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS. This means that the site is accessible to both visual browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.) and to text-based browsers or screen-reading software.
In any modern, standards-aware browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 6, Firefox, Netscape 6+, Safari, Mozilla) the pages should render as designed. In earlier browsers (e.g. Netscape Navigator 4, Internet Explorer 4), the site will appear as a simple structured low-graphics version. To experience the graphical site, download a modern browser such as Firefox.
Images of students
Images of students at Bushbury Hill Primary are only published onto the website with the explicit consent of their parents/guardians.
Accessibility
The Bushbury Hill website is designed to be accessible to visitors who may struggle to navigate webpages using a mouse and keyboard. See the Accessibility Help page for details of the features that assist these visitors.
Printing pages
The site uses separate CSS styling for printing. When a page from the site is printed, some navigational and graphical elements of the design are removed. This helps to condense content into an easy-to-read format which wastes less ink on your printer!
Increasing the text-size
If you would prefer the content text on the Bushbury Hill website to be larger (or smaller), you can adjust this through your browser:
- if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, select the View menu, then Fonts or Text Size, and pick an option from Largest to Smallest
Other browser software usually has a similar feature - normally under the "View" menu option.
