Year 3
In year 3 we have been examining rocks and comparing and identifying differences between them. We used magnifying glasses and wrote adjectives about each rock. We rubbed the rocks together and looked for particles falling. We had to classify the rocks under the sub-headings hard and soft.
We are making moving monsters! We have designed monsters using the pneumatic system. We are using syringes, plastic tubing, balloons and an assortment of old boxes. They are going to be fantastic!
We have been learning about fractions in mathematics. We have been solving word problems involving fractions and it has been fun.
In our special writing books we discussed our mums and we described her, using adjectives. We also thought carefully about all the things mums do for us. We are very lucky to have such brilliant mums.
