Year 4

Class 4 A have been experimenting with friction and different surfaces. Glass marbles were used in our rolling experiment with ramps and we measured distances in centimetres. Pupils tested 5 ramps and had great fun predicting distances that each marble would travel from each ramp.

In mathematics Class 4A were making 3D shapes using art straws and pipe-cleaners.

During the spring term class 4A are making money containers for their pocket money. We have learnt to sew using the blanket stitch to seal the edges of our material together. Different types of fasteners will be chosen by the children to keep their money safe.
